In the first quarter of 2017, TCL overseas markets’ sales volume of LCD TVs rose 38% year-on-year to 2.49 million units and LCD TV turnover rose 52.1% year-on-year to 465 million USD. Aggressive expansion in North America and the emerging markets saw LCD TV sales volumes in these markets increase 241.2% and 29.7% year-on-year.
Driven by the company’s CBUS (Curved, Big screen, 4k and Smart) strategy, TCL’s product structure has been further optimized and high-end products have gained bigger market share.

TCL Intelligent Manufacturing Base for modules and complete machines integration starts construction.
On May 2nd, TCL Intelligent Manufacturing Base for modules and complete machines integration officially started construction in Huizhou Zhongkai High-tech Zone, Guangdong Province. After completion, it is expected to reach a full output value of RMB88.8 billion per year. The project aims to integrate the production of modules and complete machines, improving the industry chain for panel display and accelerating the agglomeration of high-end industries.

The G11 new electronic display glass project gets started
On April 28th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the G11 new electronic display glass project was held in Guangming New District, Shenzhen. Jointly-sponsored by Japan's AGC and CSOT, first-phase investment was valued at RMB3 billion. The next stage will see the establishment of a production line for G11 glass substrate (3370*2940mm). The maximum capacity will be 180,000 pieces per month, to support the G11 project and it is scheduled to go into production in the first quarter of 2019.

The TCL-sponsored Melbourne Victory FC won second prize in A-League 2017.
On May 7th, the A-League 2017 Grand Final took place at Allianz Stadium in Sydney, Australia. The TCL-sponsored Melbourne Victory FC won second prize and brought an exciting match to all the football fans. During the live broadcast, Captain Carl Valeri expressed his gratitude to the team’s loyal sponsors, including TCL, on behalf of Melbourne Victory. TCL also cheered for the team on Facebook before the final.
TCL were proud to join Melbourne Victory FC as a premier partner in October 2016 and became their official television supplier for the A-League 2016/17 season. As part of the partnership, TCL branding appears on the Victory media polo shirt and on LED signage at all home games.

Alongside the partnership, TCL initiated a campaign named “Love Goals” to engage with fans online during matches and in-store, which reached millions of people from February to April, 2017.
To further bring the campaign to life, TCL implemented pre-match activations at two Melbourne Victory games, the first of which was the high-profile derby against Melbourne City. The activation featured a football game that challenged fans to score as many goals as possible in 45 seconds. The winning fan received a “money-can’t-buy, ultimate pitch-side experience” which included: a pre-match tour of AAMI Park, pre-match hospitality in the players’ lounge, a meet-and-greet with a handful of players and seats positioned pitch side behind Head Coach Kevin Muscat.
In addition, TCL has also secured the naming rights to ‘Goal of the Season’ at the Victory Medal Awards event. The award will be called the TCL UHD Android TV Goal of the Season. Fans are asked to vote for their favorite goal of the season, with the winning fan attending the Victory Medal awards night in May. In addition to helping present the winning player with the medal, the fan will also receive a TV from TCL.
