Stunning Picture Quality and Audio System to Deliver Supreme Immersive Experience
[Las Vegas, January 4, 2017] --TCL, The Creative Life, held a global press conference themed “This is SMART TV” with an emphasis on redefining what a smart TV is on January 4, 2017 during CES 2017 to launch its flagship product with smart technology, smart design and premium picture quality in its X series – the X2 TV, featuring the Quantum Dot (QD) display technology, HDR 10 technology, JBL By Harman sound system and an ultra-thin and edgeless design. X2 boast stunning picture quality thanks to the revolutionary QD display technology and HDR 10. The QD display uses a non-organic compound as the light-emitting material which not only is stable and free from problems like color cast and imbalance of picture quality, but most importantly can even outplay OLED to deliver an unprecedentedly wide color gamut of 110% NTSC. X2, the latest member of the iconic X series, is ultra-thin with a slim, edgeless body design at 7.9 mm, featuring Quantum dot display technology and the most advanced QD material. The result is high luminance of up to 600 nits, with a color gamut 52,7% wider than normal LED TVs. X2 builds on the success of previous models with its QD technology, JBL By Harman sound system, and adds advanced technology, premium configurations, artistic design and unique style. X2 has an ultra-thin bezel of 5mm, allowing the TV to fit more screen into less space, while providing a brilliant picture quality and a big picture experience. Apart from the studio-level sound experience with six JBL By Harman speakers, TCL has also equipped X2 with Bluetooth Audio. The X2 TV operates with Android TV 6.0.1, the latest version of Android TV OS, which optimizes the use of the Smart functions of the TV. These functions includes T-Cast Dual way, Google cast, Voice Search and ability to display all Netflix 4K and Youtube 4K content. The X2 is available in two sizes: 55” and 65”, and will be available globally starting end of Q2 2017. Committed to investing in technologies of the future, TCL announced at CES that in the near future, it will launch the world’s first QD on LED chip TV with even more dazzling picture quality. TCL is also working on industrial design to push the slimness to the limit – a 65-inch curved QD TV will be merely 3.9mm thick, setting new standards for the category.
